Voting on King of the Web
How do I start voting?
To get started:
- Register for an account.
- Unless you used Facebook Registration, you'll need to click the confirmation link sent to your email address.
- Click Start Voting (and download our Mobile App!).
That's it! Now you're ready to help reward internet awesome by finding campaigners to vote for and casting your 10 Daily Votes every day!
How do I get votes to cast?
You'll begin receiving ten (10) Daily Votes after you register and confirm your account. You can receive additional Earned Votes by casting your Daily Votes to fill up the vote meter.
What are Daily Votes? How are they different from Earned Votes?
You receive ten (10) Daily Votes every day, which you can use to vote for your favorite campaigners. Unused Daily Votes expire at midnight Pacific time.
Earned Votes never expire and there's never a limit to how many you can earn. You can hold on to them as long as you like, even from one election to the next. Want to save them for Battle Royale? Go ahead!
What are the two meters in my Voting Dashboard?
Let's take a quick look at the Voting Dashboard in action:

The larger meter is called the Vote Meter. Whenever you cast 10 Daily Votes in a day, you fill up one section of the vote meter. Once all sections of the Vote Meter are filled, you receive 10 Earned Votes.
The smaller meter is called the Pass Meter. Whenever you fill up one section of the Vote Meter, you also fill one section of the Pass Meter. Once all sections of the Pass Meter are filled, you receive a free Kingmaker Pass (see below!)
Once full, both meters clear so that you can do it all over again. Be sure to sign in every day and vote if you want to maximize your voting, not just for the current election, but future elections as well!
What's a Kingmaker Pass?
The best way to learn about Kingmaker Passes is to check out this page!
You earn Kingmaker Passes by voting. A Kingmaker Pass can be redeemed for Voter Upgrades. In the near future, you'll be able to use Kingmaker Passes for all sorts of things - more Voter Upgrades, strategic ways to support your favorite campaign and even to get your favorite content featured in special ways.
If you don't want to wait to earn a Kingmaker Pass, you can help support King of the Web by purchasing them. Click here to purchase Kingmaker Passes.
Purchased Kingmaker Passes which have been redeemed for a Voter Upgrade are no longer refundable. Please take a moment to review our Terms of Sale and Refund Policy before purchase!
What are Voter Upgrades?
You redeem one Kingmaker Pass to enable a Voter Upgrade for the duration of the current election. Once you choose a Voter Upgrade, you may not change your upgrade until the next election. You are committed to the Voter Upgrade you selected for the rest of the current election. At the beginning of the next election, you will become a basic voter, without an upgrade, until you redeem another Kingmaker Pass to enable another Voter Upgrade.
Today we have two Voter Upgrades: Rapid Voter and Basic Voter. Click here to find out more about these Voter Upgrades.
Can I transfer pass to friend?
Nope!
How do I request a refund?
Kingmaker Passes which have not been redeemed for a Voter Upgrade are refundable (Please review our Refund Policy).
In any event, we'd love to help you out! Please contact us directly at support@kingofweb.com and we'll do our best!
Are earned passes transferable or have value?
Kingmaker Passes cannot be transferred or sold. Earned Kingmaker Passes have no monetary value (and therefore are not eligible for refunds).
I was campaigning, but now I just want to be a voter, what do I do?
All you have to do is click the Stop Campaigning button at the top of your Profile page, right above your Soapbox, and then confirm. This will remove you from the Leaderboard and make you ineligible to win prizes, but you'll still be able to vote.
How do I become a Supporter of my favorite campaigner?
To become a Supporter, begin using the Vote Forwarding feature. Vote forwarding is a way for you to support your friends and favorites by campaigning for votes on their behalf. Visit our vote forwarding page for more information.
What do you do about players who create multiple voting accounts? Isn't that against the rules?
The integrity of the voting results is of paramount importance to us, which is why we monitor the election closely and take appropriate action when we believe passionate players may have violated our "vote using only one account" policy. All votes cast from additional accounts are removed from the results.

After that it's up to you to post great content and promote your campaign to your subscribers, followers, fans, and friends via YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, etc.
What are themed elections?
When you start campaigning you must choose one of the themed elections for that cycle. You must choose the themed election that best fits your campaign content. Your themed election category could be changed by us if we don't think it is a good fit with your campaign content, per our Guidelines.
Each election cycle one or more of the themed elections may change while others will stay the same.
What if I don't fit into one of the themed elections?
Select "I King" if you don't fit any of the other themes. That's what it's for!
How do I get people to vote for me?
Show and tell voters how awesome you are by adding additional videos, photos, and blog posts to your Campaign Blog throughout the election. Also, be sure to promote your campaign to your subscribers, followers, fans, and friends via YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, etc.
Do I have to use a video in my campaign?
No, you can use a photo instead. But the most successful candidates use videos. And the more creative the better!
How do I win?
- King of the Web - The candidate with the overall most votes at the end of the election cycle is crowned King of the Web and wins the top cash prize, as well as, the prize for their themed election.
- Themed Election Kings - The candidates with the most votes in each themed election are crowned kings in those elections (e.g. I King, Music King, etc.).

What if I win a themed election and/or a cash prize, but not King of the Web? Can I run again?
Absolutely! Themed election and cash prize winners who are not crowned King of the Web are eligible to compete in the following election.
My King of the Web Account & Page
How do I update my profile information?
Once logged in to King of the Web, go to your account info by clicking on the "Me" dropdown in the header. Then, click on Account. You can then update your Profile Image, Display Name, Email Address, Location, Gender, and Email preferences. Woot!
In what ways can I control comments on my blog posts?
Each comment on the posts on your page has two admin controls: deletion and user banning.
Deletion: There is a trash can icon used to delete comments on your blog posts. Deleting a comment is not reversable, so be sure you want to remove the content you plan to delete!
Banning: Next to the trash can, there is a "Ban" button. Clicking this "Ban" button bans the user who posted that comment from making any further comments on any of your posts. Once clicked, the "Ban" changes to "Un-ban" - you may remove the ban for this user by clicking "Un-ban".
Note: Before the March 16th election, we are releasing a Banlist feature which will show a list of all banned users so that you may manage your bans from a centralized location! Stay tuned!
