About the Company

King of the Web, Inc. is a Seattle based online reality entertainment company. Our founders Rich Barton and Nick Hanauer have had a hand in some of Seattle's most successful Internet companies, from Expedia and Amazon.com to aQuantive and Zillow.com. Our employees hail from companies like Microsoft, MTV, aQuantive, Big Fish Games, Rockstar Games and Expedia.

The small team is on a new type of quest to reward the talented and inspiring people of the internet. Our employees love online entertainment, and we're particularly passionate about social media, our vote button, and YouTube. What’s it like to work for us? We’re kind of wacky. We doodle. We brainstorm. We argue. We make fun of ourselves. We make fun of each other. We like to be charitable, and we like crowning people King of the Web.

About the Site

Our first site is called "King of the Web", which launched to the public in early April. King of the Web is an online monthly competition to reward internet awesome. Anyone can compete and the web can vote for who and what they think is awesome online. Winners get cash and prizes, plus the illustrious crown. Check out one of our competition blogs on our YouTube channel.
